Advanced Modules in International Health

Together with the CIHLMU ,The Teaching & Training Unit at the Division of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine offers a wide range of advanced training courses for students, young scientists, health professionals and multipliers in the field of International and Global Health. The training courses are face-to-face seminars in Munich, Germany, or in one of our partner countries. Some courses are offered online or in hybrid format.

With the advanced modules, the CIHLMU aims to develop competencies in a wide range of research-relevant topics, including modern laboratory skills for infectious disease detection, working with geographic information systems, didactic approaches for teaching health professionals, and the fundamentals of today's climate and food crises.

Course Prices and Cancellation Policy

Online Courses (200 EUR)

For cancellations before the registration deadline, a non-refundable fee of 50 EUR will be charged. For cancellations two weeks prior to the start of the course, a non-refundable fee of 100 EUR will be charged. In case of no-show or cancellations after the course start, the full course fee will be charged.

Face-to-face Courses (600 EUR)

For cancellations made before the registration deadline, a non-refundable fee of 100 EUR will be charged. For cancellations made two weeks prior to the start of the course, a non-refundable fee of 300 EUR will be charged. In case of no-show or cancellations after the course start, the full course fee will be charged.

Please note that it is not possible to transfer course fees from one year to the next. If you have registered for a course but cannot attend, we will refund your course fee according to the cancellation policy specified above.

Scholarship Opportunities

The Teaching and Training Unit (T&TU) offers students from low- and middle-income settings the opportunity to apply for a scholarship to reduce or waive tuition fees, provided there are available places in the course. Please note that all scholarship decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. If you are interested, please send us your CV and a motivation letter (max. 500 words) outlining your current situation and reason for applying to the module.
