One Health Funds Projects

The CIH^LMU aims to strengthen its partners and alumni and to stimulate their collaboration for One Health related research and activities. Therefore, partners and alumni were invited to apply for the CIH^LMU One Health Funds Network Funds.

One Health Network Funds Projects 2023/2024

In 2023, out of the 22 submitted proposals, four projects with focus on One Health topics were approved and initiaded:

• Ahmed Zeynudin Kasim - Jimma University (JU), Ethiopia
  Project title: One health assessment of human and animal fecal exposure, determinants, and its management among rural households in Ethiopia and Ghana: Implications for the conventional water, sanitation, and hygiene approaches

• Apolonia Rodríguez - Universidad Mayor, Real y Pontificia de San Francisco Xavier de Chuquisaca (USFX), Bolivia
  Project title: ECOH-Water

• Joana Ayettey - University of Cape Coast, Ghana
  Project title: Insects as Food: Mother's perception on feeding their children with insect-fortified food and the impact of different breeding regimes on the nutritional composition of insects

• Maria Teresa Solis Soto - Universidad Mayor, Real y Pontificia de San Francisco Xavier de Chuquisaca (USFX), Bolivia
  Project title: ANTIBIOtic RESidues in Food: a comparative analysis in Bolivia, Italy, Ghana, and Nepal

In July 2021, out of the 21 submitted proposals, five projects with focus on One Health topics were approved and initiaded:

  Project title: Mobile Health Application for Young People’s Mental Health - Building Capacity by Implementing a Mobile Health Application for Young People’s Mental Health in Ethiopia and Somaliland

• Mario Eduardo Castro Torres - Universidad Mayor, Real y Pontificia de San Francisco Xavier de Chuquisaca (USFX), Bolivia

In July 2020, six projects were approved and initiated. They focus on virtual teaching and training as well as research related to Covid-19.
