The overall aim of OH-TARGET is:
- to improve global health conditions by understanding structural health problems caused by the living environment
- to develop context-specific solutions in a holistic and participatory approach to development cooperation
- Focus: Education and Training
- Research = means of imparting research competence
- Training methods: competence-based pedagogy and activating learning methods including ICT based training.
In order to achieve these objectives, the project OH-TARGET plans to implement the following activities:
- Virtual One Health Modules
- One Health network fund projects
- One Health Master and PhD Scholarships
- Telemedical consultation hour (pediatrics, infectious diseases, veterinary medicine)
- Workshops on One Health priority topics and on research and training competencies
- Local network offices and competence centers
