Webinar: Implication of COVID-19 to the Society, Ecology and Environment

The "One Health Knowledge Café" is one of the chosen projects of the One Health Funds 2020. It is a collaborative effort of more than 11 individuals representing the partners and alumni of the Center for International Health ( CIH^LMU ) from Asia, Africa, Europe, South America and North America. The project aims to enhance the academic network of CIH^LMU experts, partners, alumni and students by organizing monthly virtual webinars, sharing sessions and offering an online course. COVID-19 pandemic has not only become a health crisis but also a systemic crisis affecting society, ecology and environment as a whole.

On 29 April 2021 One Health knowledge Café organized the webinar on "Implications of COVID-19 to Society, Ecology and Environment”. COVID-19 Pandemic is not only a health emergency but also a systemic crisis and it has affected the health, economics and broad dimension of development.

The major areas covered by the invited speakers Dr Katharina Kreppel and Prof Christian Munthe were:

• The Complexity of value conflicts in public health crisis policy
• Implications of COVID-19 from a One Health perspective

Approximately 45 participants from more than 10 countries had joined the webinar. The webinar lasted for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
