On 27 May 2021 the One Health Knowledge Café team organized the Webinar "Vaccines and Treatments for COVID-19: Progress Since 2020".
The "One Health Knowledge Café" is one of the chosen projects of the One Health Funds 2020. It is a collaborative effort of more than 11 individuals representing the partners and alumni of the Center for International Health ( CIHLMU ) from Asia, Africa, Europe, South America and North America. The project aims to enhance the academic network of CIHLMU experts, partners, alumni and students by organizing monthly virtual webinars, sharing sessions and offering an online course.
The development of vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 represents one the most impressive global efforts seen so far in terms of resources mobilized, scientists involved and speed and implementation of the results achieved. In parallel, hundreds of clinical trials have been performed to find effective treatment protocols for infected patients.
In this webinar the experts Pasquale Pagliano, Florian Krammer and Monica Gandhi discussed on:
- Pharmacotherapy of COVID-19
- COVID-19 Vaccines
- State of art of COVID-19 vaccines and progress made since 2020
The webinar attracted about 80 people from various continents across the world.
